How can I register to show my car?

You may register online or by mail. Visit the REGISTRATION page.

I am showing my car. What time can I arrive?

Show cars may arrive any time after 8:00am to get ready for the official start of the show, which is 11:00am. We ask that all show cars remain for the duration of the show (until 4:00pm). If you do have to leave, please notify a Town of Oyster Bay Public Safety Officer or Car Show Staff to coordinate your safe exit.

Please arrive as early as possible to avoid being shut out as our past car shows have reached capacity! Once the event reaches capacity, you will not be able to enter the facility.

I wish to attend as a spectator. Is there a fee? What time can I arrive?

The event is FREE TO SPECTATORS, who may enter TOBAY starting at 11:00am. Again, be sure to arrive early so you’re not shut out once the event hits capacity. Additional FREE Shuttle Parking at Jones Beach Field #5.

Is there a beach sticker or residency requirement for this event?

No. All are welcome to attend the Car Show Long Island TOBAY Classic. This event is taking place outside of the beach season, so no seasonal parking sticker or daily permit will be required for those entering TOBAY Beach.

What surface will my car be parked on?

All show cars will be parked on a paved surface in a dedicated lot separate from general parking.

What address can I enter in my GPS for TOBAY Beach?

While GPS devices or Navigation apps, like ‘Waze’, differ, simply typing “TOBAY Beach” into your search should direct you correctly. TOBAY Beach is located on Ocean Parkway, 4 miles east of Jones Beach. For those driving from Suffolk County on Ocean Parkway, TOBAY Beach is located just west of Gilgo Beach.

I use a trailer to transport my car. What roads can I use to get to TOBAY Beach?

If you are bringing a car on a trailer, please know that, as is normally permitted by law, trailers are allowed to enter the SB Meadowbrook Parkway ONLY at Route 27 (Sunrise Highway) or the SB Wantagh Parkway ONLY from Route 27A (Merrick Road). Trailers ARE permitted on Ocean Parkway. Trailers are NOT permitted on the Southern State Parkway.

Can I bring my pet?

Animals are not permitted at TOBAY Beach, as per Town code, with the exception of properly registered service animals.

Is there a rain date for the event?

Yes,the rain date is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026. Call Special Events (516) 797-4121 the day of the event for updated information in case of inclement weather

I am interested in becoming an Event Sponsor or Vendor. Who can I contact to apply for a vendor space?

If you would like to sign on as an event sponsor, vendor or exhibitor, please call Special Events (516) 797-4121 or send an email request to carshowli@oysterbay-ny.gov. Visit the Sponsor/Vendor page for information on each level of sponsorship.

Can I be added to your mailing list?

Yes! Please email carshowli@oysterbay-ny.gov to be added to our e-mail list so you never miss a show! If you have attended one of our events, you should already be on our mailing list. If you are not receiving our e-mails, please check your “spam” folder.

Is this show only for “Classic” cars?

No. Vintage, Classic, Antique, Electric, Muscle, Hot Rods, Imports and more are all welcome to show their cars and/or trucks.

I belong to a Car Club. can we park together?

Yes… However, in order to do so, you must all arrive together. Due to the sheer number of vehicles entering the facility, anyone who wishes to park together, must arrive together.

Can I show my motorcycle?

No, only cars and/or trucks are allowed in the “Show” area. Those on motorcycles may attend the event, but must park in the spectator lot.
